This story puts the player in the role of Jack Cooper, who when the game starts, is a lowly militia soldier who has not yet advanced to the rank of pilot. The big difference in this sequel is that there is a single player campaign and an immersive story to go along with it. While the first Titanfall had a kind of story running underneath the multiplayer mode, it wasn’t very detailed or important to the gameplay. There have been other features, such as the ability to decorate Titans differently offered in the preorder. While all the additional maps and classes will be available for all players free of charge, Respawn and EA did allow for those who preorder the game to get access to some of the new maps, such as Angel City earlier than the rest of the public. The developers have also said there will be additional maps and new modes which will be released post launch and most of them will be free of charge. One of the biggest features of this game is that the developers have included a single player mode which has a full-fledged story mode. While most of these features were created specifically for the original Titanfall they have been adapted and improved for the second game. This new title also has a custom audio solution as well as a texture streaming system that was created entirely in-house by Respawn. Titanfall 2, like the first game is using a kind of modified version of the Source game engine. The second beta kicked off on August 26 and ended on August 28. This beta ended two days later on August 21. The first beta contained two modes and two maps and was released on August 19, 2016. Before the official release, the development team hosted a couple of betas that were meant to show what the full game might hold as well as test the servers. On Jthe game got its official release date as Respawn said it would be coming on October 28, 2016. While the game was in the initial stages of development, the team at Respawn had been looking at launching a companion Titanfall 2 science fiction series but those plans eventually fell through.
